Graduation Info

  • Congratulations! This information applies to DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS who are complete with your HCC degree with the courses you are currently enrolled in this Spring 2024 semester.

    You have been approved for graduation for the HCC Commencement Ceremony to be held on Friday, May 17th at NRG Arena (1 NRG Pkwy, Houston TX 77054).  Only graduates who are registered will be allowed to walk in the ceremony. Gentle reminder, to ensure you have the pertinent information needed for Commencement Ceremony see below. 

    1. Graduation attire: Students must wear a solid black: cap, gown, and tassel to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. If you need to purchase graduation attire, please do so at our HCC Bookstores for information (see 2024 Graduation flyer attached).
    2. Honor cords: (If applicable) available for two-year degree recipients: Pick-up prior to ceremony at HCC Bookstore, or Honor Cord table on the day of ceremony. — Honors: 3.35 – 3.59 — High Honors: 3.60 – 3.79 — Highest Honors: 3.80 – 4.00
    3. Attend Ceremony (check website-update)make sure to PRINT your unique GradPass. to participate in the Commencement Ceremony Spring 2024 – Friday, May 17 at the designated time chosen: 9AM OR 2PM

    NOTE: Your degree will not be conferred until you have successfully completed this semester's courses and maintained a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
