From 2012-2014, the campus has made progress in achieving the goal of 100% of all graduates leaving with both their high school diploma and the Associate's degree from Houston Community College. While academic achievements are the primary goal, there has also been growth in something less tangible, the area of school culture. The faculty & staff has made a concerted effort to involve all students in areas that ensure their full participation and investment:
- In 2012, seniors were presented with class rings by their parents at a candle-lit ring ceremony.
- In 2013, East Early College hosted the first soccer homecoming, complete with a semi-formal dance, and the crowning of the first homecoming king and queen.
- In Fall of 2013, East Early College had the first Fall festival complete with booths, face-painting, moon walk, fortune teller, mock jail, and endless junk food.
- Senior projects that have evolved to those that impact other countries, such as disaster relief in the Phillipines and Breast Cancer awareness in Mexico.
