• Tryouts for the 2025 season will be held on August 1st 2025.  Prospective athletes should attend all sessions. For those wishing to tryout, please register here. Pre-season practice for all teams will begin on August 4th, 2025.  Our pre-season practice, game and tournament schedule will be available on this site.

Additionally, we will hold several open gym sessions ahead of tryouts.  These will take place at Waltrip High School on July 17, July 24th, and July 29th from 12PM-1:30PM. It is not MANDATORY, but HIGHLY recommended.

To enter the school for open gym, a member of the WHS staff will meet athletes at 11:45 AM to give them access to the gymnasium. The WHS staff member will only be at the door for a short period of time, so please do not be late for gym.

  • As Vince Lombardi said, “Winning isn’t everything, but striving to win is”. This is the foundation of Waltrip High School’s volleyball philosophy. Volleyball is demanding. It is a sport of discipline and will, requiring commitment and hard work. It takes a dedicated athlete. Volleyball is not for everyone. However, playing volleyball will give back to you far more than it will demand. Volleyball provides a tremendous sense of accomplishment and pride. It fosters confidence, courage, and cultivates lifelong friendships. Being a volleyball player is a state of mind, and it is an honor that only a few shares.
