Introducing the Wharton Way!
Introducing the Wharton Way: Our Path to a Positive and Inclusive Learning Community
Dear Wharton Community,
We are thrilled to introduce the Wharton Way—an initiative created in collaboration with our teachers and staff to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students. Rooted in the values of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), the Wharton Way is designed to empower students as caring, reflective, and principled learners who contribute positively to our school and beyond.
The Wharton Way represents our collective commitment to a shared set of values:
Work Together / Trabajar juntos
Help Others / Ayudar a los demás
Actively Listen and Learn / Escuchar y aprender activamente
Respect Everyone and Everything / Respetar a todos y todo
Think Positively / Pensar positivamente
Own Your Actions / Asumir tus acciones
Never Give Up / Nunca rendirse
To support these principles, we are introducing a daily check-in system for students from Pre-K through 5th grade. This chart will serve as a bridge for communication between teachers and families, helping us support each child’s growth as a caring, balanced, and responsible global citizen. We kindly ask that you check and return your child’s behavior log daily, allowing us to work together in celebrating progress and addressing any challenges early.
We’ll launch the Wharton Way with a school-wide assembly, inviting our students to take an active role in this journey. Additionally, we will introduce student incentives to acknowledge positive choices and personal growth.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Wharton Way. Together, we are fostering a community where every student feels valued, respected, and inspired to thrive. We look forward to partnering with you to ensure our students are lighting their path to success.
Warm regards,
Dr. Celedon
