Course Selection for Next School Year! It’s time for 2025-2026
Course Selection! Students will meet with their Counselors through Social Studies classes on the dates listed below. Students will be entering their course choices into SchooLinks.

These worksheets are to help students plan the courses and levels for the next school year. GT students should choose at least two advanced courses (PAP, AP, IB, HADV.)

Wednesday-Friday, February 19-21- Current 9th grade students in LGI 2. Wednesday-Friday, February 26-28- Current 10th grade students in LGI2. Monday-Friday, March 3-7- Current 11th grade students in small groups in their Counselor’s office.
HISD requires GT students to choose advanced leveled courses. If a student chooses to not select advanced levels, an opt-out form will be sent home to be signed by a parent or guardian for approval to opt-out of advanced leveled courses. This form will need to be returned to the student’s Counselor.
Parents can review the student course planner in SchooLinks. Click here for parent instructions on how to log into School Links. Click here for instructions on how to review the course plan your student selected. For any changes to be made to their course selections, students must visit their Counselor by March 7th. Students are not to make any changes in the course planner without notifying their Counselor.
Personal Graduation Plans must be completed by all students in SchooLinks and signed by parents. Students met with their Counselors to complete their Personal Graduation Plans and were also emailed instructions on how to transfer it to SchooLinks. Click here for instructions on how to view and approve the PGP within SchooLinks. A parent signature is required on all PGP’s.
