    In the Transportation Academy you will experience the skills and knowledge required to begin a successful career in the automotive industry.

     Energy, Power, and Transportation Systems

    In Energy, Power, and Transportation Systems is an introduction to the automotive industry and the vehicles. The student is expected to identify the major components in a vehicular system, identify necessary maintenance and service of vehicle systems; and discuss preventative maintenance plans and systems to keep vehicular systems in operation.

     Automotive Technology

    Automotive Technology includes a knowledge of the function of the major automotive systems and the principles of diagnosing and servicing these systems. In Automotive Technology, students gain knowledge and skills in the repair, maintenance, and diagnosis of vehicle systems. This study allows students to reinforce, apply, and transfer academic knowledge and skills to a variety of interesting and relevant activities, problems, and settings. The focus of this course is to teach the theory of operation of automotive vehicle systems and associated repair practices.
     
    Advanced Automotive Technology

    Automotive services include advanced knowledge of the function of the major automotive systems and the principles of diagnosing and servicing these systems. In Advanced Automotive Technology, students gain a more complete knowledge and skills in the repair, maintenance, and diagnosis of vehicle systems. This study allows students to reinforce, apply, and transfer academic knowledge and to a variety of interesting and relevant activities, problems, and settings. The focus of this course is to teach the theory of operation of automotive vehicle systems and associated repair practices and skills to a variety of interesting and relevant activities, problems, and settings.
