    In order to have a positive and productive learning environment, all students are expected to follow the following rules and procedures.
     
     
    Classroom Procedures and rules 
    • Be on time and prepared for class
    • You will not be allowed in class without being in proper uniform and with your student id around your neck
    • Use the restroom and/or drink water prior to arriving to class
    • Bring ALL materials (pencil, notebook, laptop, etc.) to class and take them with you when you leave
    • Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned “Do now” when the tardy bell rings
    • Pay attention during instruction and be prepared to participate when called upon
    • Ask three before me. This means that you should always work with members of your group to clarify directions prior to asking the teacher for help.  This will reinforce our classroom goal of having a student centered learning environment!
    • Always complete classwork during class time, and follow directions as to where and when you are to turn it in.
    • Clean up your area and return materials prior to the end of class.
    • The bell does not dismiss you.  The teacher dismisses you, and this will only occur after your area is organized and materials are returned.
     
    General Behavior Guidelines  
    • Be considerate and respectful at all times. Inappropriate behavior includes rudeness, talking back, talking during instruction. swearing, name-calling, etc
    • Listen to and follow directions of: Teachers, administrators, custodians, secretaries, instructional assistants, substitutes, and other adults in authority.
    • Keep hands, feet and objects to themselves. Inappropriate behavior includes: shoving, kicking, tripping, hitting, horseplay, play fighting and fighting
    • Show respect for school property and the property of others. Inappropriate behavior includes: writing on or scratching school or other people’s property, or taking things without asking to borrow or use them.
    • No food, gum, or drink inside the classroom
