Mabuhay! I am your falcon librarian! I have been serving in the field of education for 20 years. I was born and raised in the Philippines, where I also started my teaching career. I joined Houston ISD in 2001 to serve first as an ELA teacher, then as the librarian at (formerly) Jackson MS. This is my 4^th year here at East Early College HS. I enjoy collaborating with the faculty, staff, and students, and I hope to build a strong collaborative relationship with our parents as well. I love planning and coordinating literacy and library programs that provide students with enriching learning opportunities throughout the school year.

I graduated cum laude from the Philippine Normal University with an AB/BSE- English degree and completed my Masters in Library and Information Science at the University of North Texas. It was my honor to be the recipient of the HISD/HASL Librarian of the Year 2016-2017 award. Read more.

I love good stories in any form: books, movies, personal storytelling, music and theater! I travel whenever I can, whether physically or through books. The most satisfying times for me are the ones I spend with my family.
