I earned a BA in psychology and liberal studies from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, as well as an MA in arts leadership from UH. I've taught previously at the Arabic Immersion Magnet School for six years. My background is in jazz drumset and ethnomusicology, especially in the folkloric cultural arts of Cuba, Brazil, West Africa and Arab countries. My favorite part of teaching is having parents' trust to make lasting musical impressions on the students, and watching students grow in their musical abilities and love of music.
