Step 1:

Pre-Assessment Activity

Begin by taking the Pre-Assessment Activity to determine your testing needs.

Step 2:

Practice and Review

Next it will be helpful for you to complete the practice quizzes in reading, writing or math.  These practice quizzes include sample questions similar to those that you will see on the actual TSI assessment, and will help you become familiar with the format. Select the link at the top of the page to get started.

To ensure your assessment test scores accurately represent your skill levels, you may want to review basic concepts in reading, grammar, arithmetic, trigonometry and algebra. ACC offers resources to help you prepare.

Step 3:

Take the Assessment Test

First Pay Testing Fees

If you need the assessment, pay your testing fees online. Save the printed receipt as proof you paid. Request a fee waiver, if eligible.

Then Schedule Your Test

Schedule your test. Arrange testing accommodations if you are eligible.

On Test Day

Arrive on the scheduled assessment location, date, and time. Allow at least five hours to complete all test sections. A diagnostic exam also may be required, depending on your results.

Bring the following:

• Official photo ID
• Know your social security number
• Pre-Assessment Activity Completion Certificate
• Testing fee payment receipt or waiver
