Gifted and Talented Program at A. A. Milne Elementary School

The Gifted and Talented Program is designed for G/T students who excel in general intellectual ability, in combination with creative/productive thinking and/or leadership ability. 

Gifted and Talented and high achieving scholars are all serviced with GT certified teachers inside of the classroom. Scholars also participate in a pull-out program that takes place once a week. These services are led by Ms. Verma who is well versed in working with exceptional, high achieving students. These scholars have the opportunity to work on projects that inspire them to be creative and think at a higher level. Scholars create, assess, build, present and have a lot of fun in the process! Scholars have previously completed research design, engineering, and coding-based projects.

                Beyond these hands-on projects, we work to provide students with the opportunity to develop their communication and teamwork skills. Most importantly, we want students to be able to take initiative, develop strong leadership skills and the foundational skills that they will soon need for college and career readiness.
