David A. Shephard, a Native Houstonian, Klein ISD graduate furthered his education at Dallas Baptist University where he received a Bachelors Degree, in Music Education, Vocal Performance, Instrumental Performance, and Church Music Administration (BM, BCM).  After graduation, he moved back to Houston, Texas where he began working at Texas Southern University (Financial Aid Counselor).  After a brief time there decided to become an educator in Aldine ISD of 3 years, which later lead to his 20-year tenure in Houston ISD.  Where he is still teaching to this day at Attucks Middle School.
