Digital citizenship is essential for our students to be able to keep their Chromebooks for the school year. With 24/7 access to technology comes great responsibility from our staff, students and parents alike. The Staff is responsible for ensuring that our students follow the technology guidelines at school and using Chromebooks appropriately daily. At home, parents are encouraged to ensure students are using the technology appropriately. Parents can do this by holding students accountable for the appropriate use of their device care. This includes but is not limited to: setting screen time limits, discussing device care and collecting all devices prior to student scheduled bed time. This means that we are giving our children technology equity by having the chance to become a one-one campus. Thanks to Verizon Digital Promise, all of our students and staff will be lent a Chromebook with Internet access. This is a huge step in the right direction. However, we must equip our staff, students and you, the parents, with the tools necessary to become great digital citizenship individuals. La ciudadanía digital es esencial para que nuestros estudiantes puedan conservar sus Chromebooks durante el año escolar. El acceso a la tecnología las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana conlleva una gran responsabilidad por parte de nuestro personal, estudiantes y padres por igual. El personal es responsable de garantizar que nuestros estudiantes sigan las pautas tecnológicas en la escuela y usen los Chromebooks de manera adecuada todos los días. En casa, se alienta a los padres a asegurarse de que los estudiantes utilicen la tecnología de manera adecuada. Los padres pueden hacer esto responsabilizando a los estudiantes por el uso apropiado del cuidado de su dispositivo.
