How Do I Obtain a Copy of My Lamar High School Diploma?

Lamar High School graduates before 2007 must first obtain a copy of their final high school transcript (see above) and then email Mr. Guinther (BGuinthe@Houstonisd.org), the Lamar High School Registrar, who will send instructions on how to purchase a diploma, the cost of which is about $40.

Lamar High School graduates from 2007 through present do not need to submit a copy of their final high school transcript, but they still need to email Mr. Guinther (BGuinthe@Houstonisd.org), the Lamar High School Registrar, who will send instructions on how to purchase a diploma, the cost of which is about $40.

Please note the following about diplomas:

• They may take 6 weeks to arrive.
• They are commemorative and primarily ceremonial in function.
• If you are seeking proof of graduation for a potential employer, your certified transcript should suffice, as it is a legal document.
• Replacement diplomas are signed by the current principal and superintendent of schools and will not necessarily reflect personnel at the time of your graduation.
