November is recognized as Generation Texas Month, a statewide effort to equip students with the information and resources necessary to explore post-secondary options, such as college, careers, and the military. Generation TX Week was held from November 13-17. During this time, schools in Houston ISD hosted various activities focused on college and career exploration, including college fairs, virtual college visits, college application drives, and FAFSA workshops. High school counselors and college advisors supported seniors in completing their Apply Texas applications and submitting financial aid applications through FAFSA. All high school seniors applied to at least one college during this week. .
