What curriculum is available for my child?
In our Montessori classrooms, each area is composed of specially-designed Montessori materials for students to work with in order to build their knowledge and skills through individual practice and pacing. In addition to language, math, science, and culture, students in our Early Childhood classrooms participate in Practical Life and Sensorial lessons.
Practical Life lessons are designed to prepare children for daily living while building independence, concentration, coordination, and order.
Sensorial lessons are designed to refine the senses while building classification and sensorial discrimination skills.
Math lessons are designed to recognize numeric and geometric patterns while building order, precision, and abstraction. In Middle School, students have the opportunity to place into Algebra, Geometry, and Biology high school credit courses.
Language lessons are designed to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary while building communication skills.
Cultural lessons are designed to explore science, history, geography, zoology, and botany while building understanding of one’s significance in the world.
