A little bit about me…

I am proud graduate of Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas where I earned my Bachelor’s in Business/Finance. After graduating, I decided to teach. My area of certification is Generalist 4^th-8^th. I have been teaching for seven years; however, this is my third year at Cornelius Elementary. I am a product of Houston Independent School District and I am proud to give back to where I started from.

I believe all students are capable of learning and that effective teachers can reach every student. As I reflect on my beliefs regarding teaching and learning, I find that my mission as a teacher is threefold:

• to promote positive learning;
• to spark learner enthusiasm for learning; and
•  to provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
