Mission Statement

The mission of Scroggins Elementary
is to provide a high quality education for all students.

Our emphasis is on fostering a positive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, self-esteem, language proficiency, and exemplary citizenship. These values instill in our students a positive self-image which is directly related to their achievement and success in school. Students are expected to be responsible, flexible, adaptable, and are encouraged to be creative, self-directed, and inventive. We believe in using the disciplines of visual art, drama, music, dance, literature, and technology to develop critical, analytical, and creative problem solvers.

Teachers, parents, and community representatives will work together as partners to provide a solid base upon which students will become independent, lifelong learners so that as adults they will be able to manage our continually changing society.
