Ms. Vosdoganes
In addition to teaching the cellists at Parker, Lisa Vosdoganes also teaches for the Michael P. Hammond Preparatory Program at Rice University, maintains a private studio and is an active performer in the Houston area. She has performed and toured with the Rilke quartet and performed with Houston Grand Opera, TUTS, Houston Masterworks Chorus, Houston Chamber Orchestra and various other ensembles in Texas and Louisiana. Lisa has had Suzuki training with Rick Mooney, Pam Devenport, Nancy Hair, Gilda Barston, Barbara Wampner, Carol Tarr, Carrie Reuning, Ed Sprunger and Andrea Cannon as well as traditional pedagogy training with Anthony Elliott and Paul Katz. She has a Master’s in Music Performance from Rice University where she studied with Desmond Hoebig and a Bachelor’s in Music from the University of Houston where she studied with Anthony Elliott. Her cello studies began in the Arlington public schools with Joanne Erwin.
Along with the cello Lisa plays, watches and loves the game of soccer. She is an avid Houston sports fan but remains loyal to the Texas Rangers in baseball after growing up in Arlington. Her husband Michael Wheeler is a jazz guitarist. They have 2 year old twin daughters and a cat. The girls, Sarah and Emily, are named for themselves but Satchmo the cat is named after Louis Armstrong.

We DO have magnet-just without instruments.Cellists in the Intermediate and Advanced magnet classes begin Monday.
