Hello!  My name is Norma González, and I am excited to be the principal at Gallegos Elementary School.   I grew up in Houston, Texas and I am a product of the Houston Independent School District, graduating from Milby High School.  I also attended Golfcrest Elementary School and Deady Middle School. 

For twenty years, I have proudly served the community where I grew up.  I began my teaching career at Rucker Elementary School right after graduating from the University of Houston.  I received my Master’s in Education from Texas A&M University.  I have fifteen years of teaching experience as a bilingual teacher and five years as an elementary administrator.

My goal is to provide a high-quality education for all our students and to build strong relationships with parents and with the community.  I look forward to serving you as your leader and to having a successful school year.

¡Hola!  Soy Norma González y me siento muy emocionada de servir como directora de la escuela Gallegos.  Crecí en Houston, Texas y me recibí del Districto Escolar de Houston, graduándome de la Milby High School.  También asistí a Golfcrest Elementary School y a Deady Middle School.

Durante veinte años, he servido a la comunidad donde crecí.  Empecé mi carrera de maestra en la escuela primaria Rucker justo después de haberme graduado de la Universidad de Houston.  Recibí mi maestría de Texas A&M University.  Tengo quince años de experiencia como maestra bilingüe y cinco años de administradora de primaria.  

Mi meta es ofrecer una educación de alta calidad para todos nuestros alumnos y construir relaciones sólidas con los padres y la comunidad.  Como su líder, estoy a sus ordenes para lo que se les ofrezca.  Con su apoyo, espero tener un año escolar lleno de éxito.
