Houston Independent School District and the Career Readiness department is committed to bolstering our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to graduate students prepared either to enter the workforce directly or to continue their education in a high demand occupational field. Key industry and community leaders have been asked to serve on the HISD CTE District Advisory Council in order to achieve the goals of improving district career programming and meeting specific workforce and community employee needs.

Advisory Council members have an opportunity to collaborate with the district and to provide guidance as Houston ISD educators prepare students for careers with a future in the local workforce.
