• Texas ACE (Afterschool Centers on Education) provides no-cost activities before and after school and during summer for K–12 students in Title I schools. The program is federally funded through 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) and administered at the state level by TEA.

  • The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) serves as a supplementary program to enhance local reform efforts. The program assists students in meeting academic standards in core subjects (math, reading, science, social studies) by providing out-of-school time services to students and their families through community learning centers that offer an array of enrichment activities to complement regular academic programs.

    21st CCLC is a free program that is designed to expand after-school opportunities for Hilliard students during the academic school year, Monday - Friday, between 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

    The purpose of this program is to establish or expand activities in community learning centers that:

    Provide opportunities for academic state and local student academic achievement standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and mathematics
    Offer students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities, such as youth development activities, art, music, recreation programs, technology education, and character education programs that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of participating students.
