Karol Galindo, Principal

I am extremely excited to introduce myself as your new proud principal at Fonville Middle School. I am truly humbled by this opportunity to serve a great campus and community. Our Fonville goal is to support our scholars with academic success, cultivate a welcoming environment, and build a partnership between our parents and the campus. I want to make sure our students are prepared with the skills needed to problem solve, to be creative thinkers, and to aim for success in everything that they do in life.

For more than 21 years, I have served students and educators in the Houston area. I began my career as a clerk at C. Martinez Elementary School in 2002. It was also at C. Martinez where I started teaching as a 5th-grade teacher in 2006. After 8 successful years at C. Martinez Elementary, I was recruited to Sherman Elementary as a 5th-grade science teacher and the science department chairperson. In 2017, I transitioned to Marshall Middle School as an Instructional Specialist, where I led the science department and oversaw 6th grade. I moved to Spring ISD in the summer of 2019 to start my administrative career as an Assistant Principal at Claughton Middle School.

I am a product of HISD and an alumna of the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education from the University of Houston-Downtown and a master’s degree in STEM Leadership from the American College of Education. I am also a recipient of the National Certificate for STEM Teaching from the National Institute for Stem Education. I am a proud mother of two amazing young ladies and enjoy spending time with my family.
