    Academy of Health Science

    The Academy of Health Science is designed for students passionate about pursuing careers in the healthcare industry. This program provides in-depth knowledge of medical practices, patient care, and healthcare ethics while equipping students with the hands-on experience needed to succeed in the medical field.

    Certification Opportunities:

    • Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) – Students gain essential skills in patient care, vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, EKG administration, and more. This certification enables graduates to work in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings immediately after high school.

    Academy of Architecture and Construction

    For students interested in designing and building the world around them, the Academy of Architecture and Construction provides foundational knowledge and technical skills essential for careers in architecture, drafting, and construction. Students gain expertise in industry-standard software and develop hands-on experience in construction principles.

    Certification Opportunities:

    • AutoCAD Certification – Students become proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software, an essential skill in architecture, engineering, and construction industries. With this certification, graduates can enter drafting positions or continue their education in architecture and design programs.

    Students in this academy also explore structural design, blueprint reading, and sustainable building practices, preparing them for a future in the evolving fields of architecture and construction.

    HVAC/P-TECH Pathway (Pathways in Technology Early College High School)

    Our HVAC/P-TECH Pathway offers students a dual-credit program in partnership with Houston Community College, allowing them to earn both high school and college credits while receiving technical training in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). This program equips students with the skills required for high-demand careers in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.

    Certification Opportunities:

    • NCCER Core Certification – Covers fundamental construction skills, workplace safety, and technical knowledge, forming the foundation for HVAC training.
    • NCCER HVAC Certification 1 – Focuses on HVAC systems, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • EPA 608 Refrigerant and Handling Certification – Required for all HVAC technicians, this certification allows students to work with refrigerants safely and legally.

    Students in this pathway graduate with industry-recognized credentials, preparing them for direct employment, apprenticeships, or advanced training in HVAC technology. Our P-TECH model ensures students gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and potential college credit opportunities through partnerships with Houston Community College and industry professionals.
