• Cell Phone and Electronic Device Campus Policy
     

    All electronic devices (cell phones, music players, game players, cameras, earbuds, smart watches, etc…) must be turned off during the instructional day unless otherwise directed by your teachers.  This includes lunch. We recommend these devices be kept at home or in a locker.

     

    • Confiscated devices will be kept in the West Office safe for 30 days.  Parents will need to pay $15 for the device to be retrieved.
    • If there is an emergency and you need to pass along a message to your child, please call the front office, and the message will be delivered as soon as possible with respect to ongoing instruction.
    • The $15 retrieval fee is HISD policy and must be paid through SchoolPay. Click: Confiscated Electronic Fee
    • Please print out the receipt, which will be exchanged for the phone in the West Office.
    • Under rare circumstances, teachers allow cell phone or personal electronic device usage in class. However, the devices may only be used under the teacher’s supervision and secured at all other times during the instructional day.
