1. What is the school schedule?
School begins at 7:50 AM and ends at 3:30 PM.
2. Is there a uniform?
HAIS students do not wear a uniform, but are expected to dress "college ready".
3. Does HAIS offer sports or extra curricular activities?
Students at HAIS have more than 20 clubs from which to choose. Clubs are student-led and based on student interest. Conveniently, club time happens during the school day so that all students may participate in them.
HAIS also has a very active debate team, basketball, volleyball and cheer team.
4. Does HAIS provide transportation?
As a magnet school, HISD provides transportation for HAIS students. We are also within walking distance from the rail line and there are two metro bus stops right next to the school.
