Ellen Devaney Duplantier is the Dean of Instruction at Houston Academy for International Studies. She has worked in Houston ISD for 10 years.  Before joining the HAIS team, Ellen was a member of the leadership team at Middle College High School at HCC Fraga, opening the school in 2014, a Social Studies and English teacher at Sharpstown International School, and the Campus Instructional Technologist at HAIS.  She received her B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin and her M.A. in Education Leadership and Administration from the University of Houston. An interesting fact about Ellen is that she lived abroad in Cairo, Egypt for 5 years. She graduated high school from Cairo American College (her graduation ceremony was at the Pyramids of Giza)!
