Welcome and thank you for your interest in Roosevelt Elementary!

Roosevelt Elementary is a Vanguard Magnet campus in the Northside area.  Our Vanguard Magnet program is designed to meet the educational needs of gifted and talented students through a differentiated curriculum which offers a greater depth and complexity. Roosevelt's program includes project-based learning dedicated to serving the gifted/talented learners.

Our Vanguard Magnet Program is designed to serve G/T identified students who transfer to Roosevelt through the Magnet program and our zoned students who are identified as G/T.

Gifted and Talented Education at Roosevelt

GT students are clustered together in a way to ensure that there are at least 3 Gifted and Talented students in a classroom. Non-GT students are also in the class as well. We do not distinguish between GT students who attend Roosevelt in the magnet program and zoned GT students, they are intermixed throughout the classes.

    Roosevelt Elementary's Vanguard Program Offers:

    • Highly qualified, experienced teachers
    • Dual Language and English Vanguard Classes
    • Project-based instruction

Roosevelt Elementary is the best Vanguard school because we offer an accelerated and differentiated curriculum for all gifted and talented scholars, a path to a reputable middle school and various ways to be mentally and physically competitive.
