Garland "Đieu" Duong is our new Media Specialist. He will be taking over in the library as part of our Specials rotation for 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders.

Mr. Duong (pronounced "Young") has been with the district for 19 years. He started out his career as a Language Arts teacher for 7th and 8th graders and then was a campus technologist at Poe Elementary for 13 years. He graduated from the University of Houston, where he earned his degree in Communications with a focus on Media Production and his minor was Creative Writing. 

He brings a wealth of knowledge, and he's looking forward to mentoring students and staff in regard to all things technology related. This is his dream job and he's extremely happy and excited to be at Memorial Elementary!
