Hello! My name is Raul E Blanco. I’m originally from Cuba. I’m a recording and performing pianist, composer, orchestra director, producer, and online influencer. I studied Classical music at internationally renowned conservatories in Havana City. I also got a bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Texas Southern University (Houston, TX) and a master’s degree in jazz piano at Washington State University. I perform with several prestigious bands and international artists around the city of Houston and the world. I also have a strong online presence with thousands of students and followers. I’m a student of life. I’m always on the search for wisdom and spiritual growth and I love to share with my students all about music and life. 

In Percussion class, students have the opportunity to receive high quality music instruction, and they get to play instruments like the marimba, xylophone, drum set, congas, and other percussion instruments at a high level of execution, compared to middle school and high school.

The experience we offer at Crockett is truly unique as this type of class is usually not available at elementary schools, and it's combined with innovative teaching methods drawing from the many years of experience in the music industry and music education. Mr. Blanco can offer. Crockett advanced ensembles have been the recipient of many awards at Jazz Festivals, competitions and showcases.
