Mr. Jacob Lewis

I am native Houstonian. I graduate from Trinity University in Washington, D.C. with a Masters in Educational Administration. I have dedicated the last 24 years in educating the next generation of leaders in our country. I have two amazing young men of my own. One at the University of Kentucky and the other beginning 1st grade. I enjoy being in church, around family and friends, working out in the gym, and watching movies. Service has been my life call and education has been the catalyst. I take pride in educating our young people and servicing the community.

Mrs. Danita Smith

This year marks my 11th year as an educator, specializing in teaching 5th grade for the past seven years, which I thoroughly enjoy. I attended the University of Houston for my education degree and have lived in Houston my whole life. I am happily married with 8 wonderful adult children and have a passion for traveling, aiming to visit all 50 states and several other countries. My education philosophy revolves continuously assessing my methods to ensure student progress and implementing effective strategies to foster lifelong learning, while understanding the worth of every child.

Mr. Bilal Wilburn

I am a proud Los Angeles native with this being my fourth year working in education. I am also a private Math tutor where I tutor students from 3rd grade-College. Math has always been my favorite subject and I am ecstatic to be teaching 5th grade this year. Outside of school, you can find me traveling, taking photos, or designing socks.

Ms. Rita Salinas

I have 22 years of teaching experience at both high school and elementary levels, specializing in outdoor education and coaching various sports. I also spent time at the Acadia Institute of Oceanography in Maine, where I further developed my passion for environmental education. Additionally, I have volunteered at an orphanage during the summer and have contributed to youth development by working with both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, enriching my dedication to mentoring and inspiring young individuals that promote curiosity and grow. For the past 6 years, I have focused my efforts on inspiring students to love science.
