Greetings!

I am a Houston native born to West Indian parents, so my culture is a nice mash up. Growing up on the southwest side, I attended George Bush High School, being on the varsity dance team of The Illustrious Illusions! I went on to graduate from THEE Texas Southern University, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Class of 2022. This is my very first year teaching at Jack Yates High School, and I am looking forward to a wonderful year. I have been passionate about science since I was 11 years old! Science is arguably the most fascinating subject- It is great, trust me! I began to love teaching kids to get them excited about learning and help them achieve their goals in life, whatever that may be. I love learning and growing alongside my students. Oh, and I love watching Sci-fi movies, playing video games, eating Asian food, and being around loved ones. My favorite author is Meg Cabot and I just finished reading “As a Man Thinketh” 😊  great for having a growth mindset!
