OPEN TRANSFER - ROUND TWO

  • From 4/21/25 to 4/25/25 (1 week)eligible employees displaced by Crosswalks or PUA eligible employees who may want to transfer into a new vacancy caused by Crosswalks will review HISD's 25-26 school year open roles (Available Vacancies link is found HERE ; updated every weekday during the transfer window by 5 PM) and use the Interest Form Round Two to express interest in a position (one submission per position of interest). Then, HR will review qualifications and forward the respective principals the employees' information for consideration. Principals will then contact candidates of interest and submit the employee selected for hire for transfer processing using the Open Transfer Request Form. The same resources found to the right should support both employees and principals during this process. The links to the Open Transfer Portals referenced in the instructions are below.

    From 3/1/25 to 3/21/25 (3+ weeks), employees will review HISD's 25-26 school year open roles (Available Vacancies link is found here; updated every weekday during the transfer window by 5 PM) and use the Interest Form Round One to express interest in a position (one submission per position of interest). These are vacancies due to known resignations and retirements as of this transfer window. Then, HR will review qualifications and forward the respective principals the employees' information for consideration. Principals will then contact candidates of interest and, using the Open Transfer Request Form, submit the employees selected for hire to HR for transfer processing by the designated deadline. The Instructions and Rules of the Road found on SharePoint site should support both employees and principals during this process.
