Coach Carswell

Coach Carswell has been the Cheer Coach/Sponsor at Pershing since 2016.  She is also an 8th-grade ELAR teacher as well as the ELA Department Chair. 

The Pershing Cheer Squad are the spirit leaders on campus. They perform at football games, basketball games, and many other events at Pershing.  They have won several NCA distinctions including the NCA Spirit Award 2017 and 2018.  They also earned a bid to the NCA Senior & Junior High School National Championship. The Squad has performed at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando Florida 2 years in a row! 

Tryout Information: Cheer tryouts are held in March each year.  Eligible students (Current 6th and 7th graders) can pick up applications and general information in February.
