    Coach Lorenz

    Coach Lorenz has been at Pershing for 20 years, and has taught French for the last 16.  She is from Houston and attended The Kinkaid School for high school and the University of Virginia for college.  She spent a year in France after her college graduation.  All four of her children and son-in-law attended Pershing, and she just welcomed her first grandchild into the world.
     
    She coached Bellaire softball when her children were younger.  Two of her three daughters played softball for Pershing from 6th-8th grade. Softball is a competitive program at Pershing that has a reputation for excellence.  Players are expected to attend practice and games.

    Tryout information: Softball is a club sport and requires dues to play.  Because it is a club sport, 6th graders may play.  Tryouts take place before the winter break.  Students who are not zoned to Pershing but do not have softball at their schools may try out for the softball team.

    Games: Times and dates vary.  Additionally, one tournament is played outside of HISD.
