• This is Coach Merrill’s 11th year as Swim Coach at Tanglewood. In 2007 she helped Tanglewood (then Grady) get a team. That first year, the team consisted of 10 girls. Coach Merrill loves watching the program grow each year. She was a swimmer in high school and swam the IM.

    This is Coach Gardner's 5th year as Swim Coach at Tanglewood.  As a non-swimmer, he began his coaching career under the watchful eye of Coach Merrill.  He has fallen in love with coaching and swimming.  He currently is a member of US Masters and has competed in Masters meets.  
     
    The Merrill/Gardner combination was able to pull off their first district win in Tanglewood/Grady history last year! We will be working hard to carry on feat this coming year.
