The Cinco de Mayo Celebration 2021!

Due to the special circumstances this year, Las Aguilas de Oro have not been able to do their usual performances in our community. However, that doesn't mean that the Cinco de Mayo will not be celebrated with enthusiasm! Taking into consideration the CDC norms for health and safety, our students have put together a series of videos to remember the Battle of Puebla and celebrate their heritage. Beginning on May 3rd, we will upload a new video all the way through May 7th for your enjoyment.

We are super grateful to Dr. Mary Velasquez, who is in the 34th year of creating and directing the Cinco de Mayo Program. Mr. Sergio Luviano has been awesome in taping and editing the videos. And we also give many thanks to the students and teachers who have collaborated to carry on the tradition here at Burbank Middle School!
