WELCOME TO THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL PAGE!
As a self-proclaimed GT (Gifted and Talented) student who once aspired to attend a specialized school for students with diverse learning needs, I have long admired institutions like TH Rogers. While such an exemplary school was not available 30 years ago, its existence today reflects the ideals I have always valued.Growing up in West Virginia, I was taught by my parents the importance of respect and fairness. My academic journey led me to West Virginia University (WVU), where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Master’s in Marketing. During my studies, I was honored with the Bumabarker Scholarship, Scott Widmeyer Scholarship, Verizon Scholarship, and was recognized as a McNair Scholar.Although my initial career path was in civil service, specifically with the Department of Health and Human Resources (formerly known as DHS), my passion for teaching and coaching remained a driving force. When my family and I relocated to Dallas, Texas, in the early 2010s, I saw an opportunity to make a significant impact in education. I began working with high school students in Irving Independent School District and most recently engaged with junior high school students in LCISD. During these roles, I benefited from internships and cohort training, which have been instrumental in preparing me for my current endeavors. As I embark on my role at TH Rogers, my primary goal is to ensure that students not only learn but also enjoy the process of learning. I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where students can express themselves freely and engage with one another respectfully.Sincerely,James Greene
