The Logistics & Global Supply Chain Management (Maritime Logistics Specialization)

- Level 1 Certificate Program

Austin HS students taking classes in the Maritime Pathway have the opportunity to take free Dual Credit classes starting in their 11^th grade year.  Students will complete seven Maritime related HCC classes over a two-year period, 11^th and 12^th grade year. Students completing the program will earn an HCC Logistics & Global Supply Chain Management (Maritime Logistics Specialization) Level 1 Certificate during the spring of their 12^th grade year.

Program Highlights:

• Learn skills and study topics important to the maritime industry including, workplace safety and health procedures, physical transportation and global distribution systems, forklift truck safety, driving & lifting, supply chain management.
• Earn the following certifications: HCC Level 1 Certificate – Logistics & Global Supply Chain Management (Maritime Logistics Specialization), OSHA 10 Certification, NCCER Core Safety Certification.

How do I sign up*?

1. Start taking Pathway classes in 9^th grade
2. Attend interest meetings during Spring of 10^th grade year
3. Complete HCC and HISD forms and return to dual credit office (No TSI testing required)
4. Complete ApplyTexas application for HCC

*Note: Student attendance, grades, credits earned and STAAR scores will be reviewed to determine final eligibility
