Burbank Eagle Orchestra

Winter Concert

Last December 20, 2022, Burbank Middle School's Eagle Orchestra presented their Winter Concert in the school auditorium. Under the able guidance of Band Director, Mr. Wilford Glenn, the band presented a selection of classical pieces as well as songs appropriate for the Christmas Season. The band performed Amazing Grace, Christmas Spirituals, and Songs of Christmas.

In addition, several guest students participated as soloists, performing such varied pieces as an aria from "The Magic Flute" and "The Christmas Song" by Mel Torme. Our soloists were:

• Kayla Preston, Bass Clarinet
• Kalibi Castillo, Tenor Sax
• Kayla Rocha, Oboe
• Kayla Preston, Bass Clarinet
• Richard Savoy, Piano Forte
• Dinah Washington, Vocal Soloist

Our Drumline, under the direction of Mr. Edwin Rutiaga, also performed to the delight of everyone present. Immediately following the concert, the Drumline, the Band, and all the guest performers met in the bandroom for a lovely reception. 

We would like to thank all the guest performers as well as our band members for such a beautiful performance. Many thanks also go to Mr. Rutiaga for the wonderful Drumline that he is developing in our school. Most of all, we would like to thank our Band Director, Mr. Glenn, who every year organizes the Winter Concert with such dedication, care, and enthusiasm!
