KICKSTART KIDS SPRING QUALIFIER

In the morning of February 22, 2025, our KickStart Kids karate team headed for Manvel, Texas to participate in the South Texas Spring Qualifier. This was the second opportunity for our students to qualify for the regional competition coming up in April. We had a great team of 28 current Burbank Middle School students plus two of our former students participate. We are very pleased to report that we have more than doubled the number of students who qualified for the Regional Tournament. Eight of our current students earned a spot and both our former students also qualified to advance to regional:

Johnathan Torres, 3rd place, Forms

Israel Mosqueda, 2nd place, Forms

Valeria Gutierrez, 3rd place, Sparring

Joseph Villacorta, 3rd place, Forms

Andrez Diaz, 2nd place, Forms

David Climaco, 3rd place, Sparring

Valeria Gutierrez also qualified in Forms in the Fall Qualifier.
