2024 GT EXPO
On March 20, 2024, Burbank Middle School's GT students gathered in the cafeteria to exhibit their TPSP Projects. They had been working on them all year, and they were eager to show everyone what they had learned.
The TPSP Project is a research project that is designed for students to explore and discover something about the world around them. They may do this research by themselves or with another person. In the end, there will be an opportunity to present their findings, give a performance, or show a product they created. Gifted and Talented students are expected to engage in a TPSD Project each year, and this was their opportunity to shine!
The doors opened at 5:00 pm, with parents, teachers, students, and members of our community making their way in. As they walked around, students would explain their projects and answer any questions the public may have. The projects were judged according to grade level, and first, second, and third places were adjudicated. There were over 50 projects in the exhibit, and these were the winners:
6th Grade

All first place winners will advance to the HISD Expo which will be held on May 9, 2024.
