  • Below

    By Densy Hernandez

Below your love, below your hate

    Our life was a debate

    You thought you ate

Below your life, below your death

It left my mouth with a terrible breath

We went through all the depths

    I was below of you

    You really had an issue

I don’t miss you and that’s the truth

    In and Out

    by Alexia Nava

    Across the little town

    To the beach

    Into the sea

    Across the sea

    To the reef

    Into the cave

    Across the cave

    to the underwater town

Into the shop they call Rave

    To summon his presence,

    “Rave I call!”

To see him, you’ll need a special lens

You'll need to look up, he is tall

You need help with your friends

We need to get out of Rave

    Out of town

    Out of the cave

    Out of the Reef

    Out of the sea

    To the beach

    Back to the little town

    Conch at the beach

  • On The Way Home

    by Jayleen Romo

    On the way home,

    I heard a bird on a tree.

On the way home, I saw a boy on a bike.

    On the way home,

I felt a nice breeze on my arm.

On the way home, I smelled a disgusting scent.

    On the way home,

I take a bite on an apple .

On the way home, the lights turned on.

    Across You

    By Densy Hernandez

    Across the ocean

    Across the nation

    No longer in your collection

    Across your game

    I shut down your flame

    Across your stupid name

    Across your manipulation

    Across our connection

Just trying to find my next destination

    The Creek

    By Eduardo Aguilar

If I wanted to swim anywhere

I would head to the Creek with its fresh,

clean water, and its adorable little frogs

The frogs would jump everywhere while

looking for a meal, making ripples in the water

The ripples would spread to the ends of the Creek

The Creek is so clear, free of any algae

and so warm in the summer that you could

fall asleep and dream big dreams

So, if I were to swim anywhere I would

swim in the clean, clear Creek

  • Embracing Nature’s Grace

    By Samantha Martinez

As I walked past a bush, I turned my head, and I saw a green field with trees and peaches dangling from them.

Then I saw a basket next to a pile of leaves and thought to myself that I could get some peaches from the trees. As it started turning eve, I started to pick up my pace, thinking about how it was getting late.

As the smell of the peaches grew stronger and stronger, it also started to get darker and darker. Eventually the moon was nature's lantern

As I walked on my way back to my cottage, I tripped on a rock and dropped my basket of peaches. As I picked them up one by one, they felt as smooth as a rose leaf. I continued walking, and I decided to take a bite of one of the peaches.

As the amazing flavors grew greater and greater, I finally got home and decided to make some peach porridge.
