A LESSON

  • Cats

Have you ever seen a cat that looks so kind but ends up hissing at you? What I learned for my lesson is to not trust a cat fully.

One day I was outside, and I saw a cat a few houses away. I decided to go up to it and learn its trust but first I needed to know its gender and I saw that it was a girl. When I went up to her, I tried to earn her trust little by little. Two days later I had fully earned her trust and I was honestly proud that a street cat had someone to finally trust. From those two days that passed it was like we were best friends.

I felt happy with that cat because I would spend time together every day for example if I stepped a foot outside the cat would be right there. And it would follow me everywhere even though that cat smelled bad, or it had injuries I did not care I still loved that cat like if it were mine. I would give it some food every day and her injuries started fading away little by little

Until one day when I was feeding her, she scratched me out of nowhere. I looked at her and she started hissing at me as if she never knew me. I felt betrayed in that moment, I felt like someone so important to me just switched up on me. I know it was just a cat, but I felt like the cat forgot me. So, when I gave its food, I just put the plate down and went inside I would usually just sit there, and she would eat, but no, the betrayal that I felt was so unreal.
