Violence is Never the Answer
by Benito Orozco
From being different, and not fitting in,
to being raised and told to be mean,
Youth violence happens with factors.
Before you attack, ask yourself, if it’s necessary,
Before you act on your own, tell an adult,
Don’t make yourself the bad guy.
Violence doesn’t have to be towards you to affect you,
Outside of school, kids get yelled at and beaten,
And I feel hurt on the inside, seeing the world tear up,
I feel weak seeing parents transferring their meanness.

Violence
By Jayleen Romo
Think of violence
Is it a good thing? What good does it do you?
No! Nothing of course!
Little evil thoughts come to your brain
only leaving you with such horrible pain.
Violence not only does this but fills you with negativity.
Violence is the last thing
I want in this humanity.
Violence is the cause of a child or teen
to withdraw from family and friends.
Violence is the cause of a child or teen
to give up on life.
Violence is the cause of a child or teen
being angry or hostile.
Violence is the cause of a child or teen
to do risky things.
Violence is the cause of a child or teen
To use alcohol or drugs.
Violence is the cause of a child or teen
wanting to die or disappear.
Unfortunately for violence it can be
overpowered and disappear.
Some young people who are thinking about
violence let people close to let them know
That they are in pain and are open about
needing help.
Also, parents can ask their child
and comfort them to solve the problem.
With this violence can come completely
to an end, but will take the
time to do so.
