What We Do

  • Policy Management manages two major HISD documentation systems: Board Policy and Administrative Regulations.
     
    Policy Management also facilitates the development and documentation of new and revised board policy and administrative regulations, including corresponding exhibits.
    • Board Policy provides broad district governance and is adopted by the Houston ISD School Board.
    • Administrative Regulations provide detailed information on procedures that implement board policy, as well as practices that have been deemed valuable to district management. Administrative Regulations are approved by the district's executive leadership team.
