ApplyTexas Application
ApplyTexas is a centralized web portal for prospective students from Texas and other states to apply for admission to Texas higher education institutions. The purpose of the program is to allow students to complete one application and submit it to multiple institutions of higher education.
All students participating in dual credit must complete the ApplyTexas Application and list the institution of higher education in which they will enroll for dual credit. Each high school campus will host an application workshop to ensure students and parents have the necessary support and instructions when completing the application. ApplyTexas Application

Required Paperwork
Houston ISD partners with Institutes of Higher Education to give students the opportunity to obtain college credit while in high school. The most common partner is Houston Community College (HCC).
HCC requires paperwork for all dual credit students that must be completed and submitted by the established deadline. The campus administration will provide the forms and instructions to all student participants.
1. The Dual Credit Waiver Approval Form. This form requires signatures from both the student and parent(s).
2. The Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Verification Form. This form requires the student's signature and a copy of a current immunization record, including proof of a meningitis vaccine within the past 5 years. Note: Dual credit students attending classes on a college campus are required to provide proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination or an "Affidavit for Exemption."
3. Student Score Report. This document is submitted to HCC by the campus dual credit coordinator/administrator. The score report provided will serve as documentation to qualify the student for dual credit coursework. Accepted reports include the following: TSIA2, SAT, or ACT.
The campus dual credit coordinator/administrator will provide the forms for students to obtain the necessary signatures. Once completed, the coordinator/administrator will submit the forms to HCC by the established deadline.
