District Annual Report
-
Texas Education Code (TEC), §39.306 and §39.362, or 19 Texas Administrative Code (TAC), §61.1022. TEC, §39.306 requires each district’s board of trustees to publish an annual report. The primary component of this annual report is the PDF TAPR (Texas Academic Performance Report). This year's TAPR report was published on January 24, 2024 and pulls together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. Performance is shown disaggregated by student groups, including ethnicity and socioeconomic status. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, programs, and student demographics.
TAPR is available for the state and every public school, district, and/or region of Texas and can be accessed here.
The TAPR Glossary provides definitions, describes methodologies, and lists sources for each data point in the TAPR. These glossaries can be found at the link here.

In addition to the TAPR section, the District Annual Report must include:
- the campus performance objectives and the progress toward those objectives
- information on violent or criminal incidents and prevention and intervention policies
- findings that resulted from evaluations conducted under the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1994
- information on the performance of the previous year’s graduates in their first year of college as reported by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
- the progress of the district and each campus in the district toward meeting the goals set in the district's early childhood literacy and mathematics proficiency plans adopted under TEC, §11.185; and college, career, and military readiness plans adopted under TEC, §11.186.
Please note: The 2022-2023 TAPR does not include A-F ratings, Distinction Designations, or Special Education Determination Status due to the injunction as related to the 2023 Accountability Manual.
The full 2022-2023 District Annual Report can be accessed in the zip file located here.
A paper copy of this year's District Annual Report can be accessed at the front desk of Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center, located at 4400 W. 18th Street.

Additionally, TEC §39.306 requires that each district’s board of trustees hold a public hearing to discuss the district’s annual report. This year's hearing will be held March 21, 2024 and upon completion of the hearing, the presentation can be found here.

Federal Report Cards
-
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires each State education agency to prepare and publish an annual report card. The Federal Report Card for Texas Public Schools is a web-based system that generates the required federal report cards at the state, district, and campus levels for easy dissemination by school districts. Every district that receives Title I, Part A funding is responsible for distributing the reports to each of its campuses, the parents of all enrolled students, and the general public.
